Bridals

I'm updating my blog and I'm up to the month of April. RA was so sweet and let me take her bridal portraits. Of course, that day turned out to be very very windy and cold. I got some good shots and a few funny ones.

Easter

Ahhh...
What a sweet Grandpa!! After Easter Sunday dinner Papa read the classic children's book, "The Very Hungry Caterpillar to BG.
Only 12 more day until the wedding.

March Update

In march we took a road trip and drove to Las Vegas to see the play Phantom of the Opera. It was amazing. The scenery and stage were captivating. Of course the music, actors and costumes were stunning. We drove the natural gas car and it was an adventure finding the 5 stations between here and Vegas.

Shoes, shoes, shoes

A current photo style is to isolate a small part of a photographic scene and to focus on that part and take a closeup. I love photos of shoes and feet. I especially like these photos at weddings because we seem to have special footwear for weddings.

Engaged

Our youngest son got engaged to a "curly haired girl with a beautiful smile". We are so happy for both of them. I was privileged to take their engagement photos. It was a cold, crisp, sunny day. We took photos in the snow and then jumped into the car to warm up again before we took more photos. Here's a few of the photos and I took hundreds. Willing photo victims, I mean participants makes me happy.
P.S. She had her hair straightened for the photos because youngest son likes it that way. Her daddy wasn't so happy. Some of her friends didn't recognize her. You defiantly can't please everyone.

Reception at Draper Temple

The reception for the Draper Temple was held in a church cultural hall next to the temple. Any one who has decorated a cultural hall knows that it's a huge blank space to decorate. Large scale furniture, rugs, pictures, and floral arrangements were brought in and a serving area was set up. A miracle was produced because it felt like a cozy warm living room.

February update

We went to the Draper Temple open house. It was a very cold day but the temple was filled with a beautiful spirit. There was a lovely reception after the tour. Pictures of Christ covered the walls and cookies and water were served.

Tortuga/Turtle

We found this tortuga in a restaurant and just had to bring him home. He sat in the back seat and was strapped in with both seat belts. Craig wanted to put him in the pilot seat and see if the customs agent noticed. Watch for turtle updates in future blogs.

January In Mexico

We went to PV in January. I celebrated by birthday at Daiqueri Dicks. The food was delicious and the presentation was beautiful. If I can remember how to get photos I will show you our lovely meals.
