Domestic Divas

I made aprons for the women in the family for Christmas. BG loves her apron and wants to wear it all the time. It was fun to have a picture with the girls.

Balloon Festival

We went to Gallup, New Mexico for their balloon Festival. It was amazing to see the launch of over 100 balloons. I took over 200 pictures but I won't publish them all here.

Sleeping?

Please don't shove a finger up grandpa's nose while he's sleeping. It's not a good idea to wake a sleeping bear.

Thanksgiving

We went to California for Thanksgiving this year. Yea!! Someone else got to do the cooking. We had dinner with J&C. We went to the zoo with J&M. And of course we got to see the grand kids. Pictures to follow if I can remember the process.

Quilt Festival

Yes, I actually put a quilt in this year's quilt show. I started it in 1996 when vests were all the rage. Each tiny monthly vest has a small charm or button. Vests may be out of style but I got to use the latest quilting advances that weren't available 12 years ago.

Tarantula Update

Thanks to Julie I now have a blog!!! It's only taken me about two months to add to it though. The famous tarantula from my blog was kept in a cheese grater,(Yes, Jessica I threw it away.) I named him Tat so no one wins the non-existent prize money. After the Webelos had a good look at him we released him at a nearby park in the shade under a tree.
However, one Sunday Craig called me to his office to look out the window. Crossing the lawn was another tarantula TWICE as large as the first one. He was heading straight for my house. I would rather capture one on my terms than find one in a dark corner of the house. We took this one to a nearby ravine. We have lived here for almost 4 years and I have never seen a tarantula but his year I find two. What luck?!
