Twenty Six women were invited to make a small quilt 18" x 24" for the Alphabet Soup quilt challenge. The letters were from a panel and had to appear on the front of the quilt. the quilt could be any technique and the letters were to represent something personal from their lives. I choose the letter J because all of my children's names begin with the letter J. The quilts and the stories behind them are as varied as the women who made them. Tragedies struck two of the participants and their friends took up the challenge and made the quilts for them. Top photo A-M
